Went shooting today in knee deep snow. Just a couple handguns that i flew out with me. About 30 miles south of the Canadian border. Its been snowing for the last 2 days.

Was a good time! The bullets left trails in the snow!

Generally with handgun rounds they’re not fast enough to create a contrail that’s easy to see but with rifle rounds they are very easy to see when it’s like 0° outside

Been carrying with an under shoulder holster all winter now, not sure if I wanna go back to IWB. Just so much more comfortable. Can drive with it, pick things up, etc..

Ya, but the extra barrel length has some magical abilities. My 11" bbl 9mm upper is still north of 1000FPS at 100 yards with Hornady critical defense rounds... the SBR's can handle +p+ ammo no problem, and have more energy at 100 yards than most pistol do at the muzzle. Think of it this way, .357 and 9mm are the same size. Hot 9mm loads are moving just as fast as standard 357 mag...just sayin.

Figured a Marine would be used to a fixed front sight post! I think I’m the last guy on earth that likes a fixed front sight post, at least on my fighting gun.

We've only got like 150 rounds down range between our sr22's. I'll shoot them more this week hopefully and have a better opinion of them. So far though all good and no jams or failures of any kind

10-4, I have a Walther P22 and it eats everything. But my Daughter wants it so I am thinking of replacing it with a SR22. But I heard that some of them are picky about ammo. ( same thing about the Walther P22 but I have found that not to be a problem)

Its funny how different the experience flying with firearms at different airports can be. Phx they pulled us to the side, searched the bags. Didnt ask to open the cases or anything and pushed them through. In Spokane they asked us a bunch of questions then sent the bags through and said to wait to the side for 15 min. After 15 min if nobody called us we were good to go.
