That’s an awful lot of scope for chipmunks and squirrels! LOL what is that thing?

Thank you! I was thinking that EXACT same thing. That's the sort of scope you see on a .223/22 Hornet/17HMR groundhog gun out West. My Squirrel gun has a basic 4x 32mm scope and it clips skull caps just fine...

Those are M&P Mags! How do you like yours? Mine's a very accurate plinker, and fits my hand like a glove even though it's a full-size pistol and I have small hands.

Which mags are you talking about ?There actually aren't any m&p mags,in that photo at least.I do love all of my m&p pistols. The photo above has a little bit of glock (extended mags),some hk standard mags and some little ole 10/22 stuff for my daughter. That was a special day to me there, first time my daughter stepped up from a bb gun to a real rifle!

Those are H&K mags? They look almost identical to my M&P mags.
Now that I look closer, they do have a different base.

And I certainly don’t mean to disrespect Your build because everybody has their own reasons for why they build something that may not make sense to others! but what is your scope?, I can’t read the box. does your set up have what looks like a 20 minute canted rail also and muzzle break? You rock on buddy!

You guys do realize there is a 2" long lens hood on the end of the scope, don't you?

For the record, I shoot .22 silhouette in competition, and we use similar scopes.

Nothing wrong with a good, close-up view... ;)

Yes, I’m quite aware of this “sunshade”on the front of the scope. I am a scope specialist. But Tactical turret on a 22 rim fire?, seems unfair to the turrets for never being able to be really used! Lol:annoyed:

    I won't feel so odd putting a 6-24x50 on my 223 while my 308 only has a 4-14x44 now

We shoot with turrets. Shooting between 40 and 100 meters requires site adjustment.

How expensive are the H&K mags? Never owned one so I've got no frame of reference.

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly have no room for questioning, I built a $700 Mosin-Nagant. I was just asking

Unless you're trying to track them through trees. Too much zoom is a hindrance then. :notsure:
For instance, the squirrels around here are tree-hoppers. They almost never hold still longer than a second or two, so you've got to be able to track them in the scope until they stop and then take a quick plink before they start bouncing around again.
Edit- Unless they're actually in the bird feeder, in which case it's an easy shot as long as they don't spot you lining up on them.

I occasionally shoot long range silhouette matches with my 10/22 from 50-200 yards. The turrets get a work out on those days for sure.

    No problem.

I admit, sometimes it does seem a little crazy to put a monster scope on a little ol' .22... ;)

It certainly can - it really shows how much you wobble.

But for target shooting, the "animals" are not moving - only the shooters are!
