You could always buy a small box, test it then buy bulk. But Freedom munitions is quality stuff. Even their reman ammo.

I like my GP100; even full snort 357's just sort of nudge you. But the trigger on my S&W is better.

I meant like Olympic trap-style clays, DTL, trench, etc.

    No luck needed, thanks.

Obviously you do not know me.

I'll agree with your comments about competition shooting though. You will definitely be a better pistol shooter with IDPA laps and a better defensive shooter overall with participation in well-designed 3-gun competitions.

Be careful with your assumptions though. Just a suggestion.

I like some of the stuff that S&W makes. I hear once you get a trigger job on the GP it's damn near perfect. but the S&W scandium frames just scare the heck out of me. I don't want to pay $1300 for a weapon that I can't run 357mag through all day long in fear of breaking it or having it go kaboom in my hands. The Ruger GP100 you can shoot forever then bury it underground and tell your great grand kids where its at. I Love the look and concept of the S&W TTR8, but unfortunately that's a gun I'd never buy because... well just google "scandium kaboom"

The company that mixes up rifle calibers, routinely sets bullets back too far in the casing and makes .44mag that is actually .44spl because they can't get the powder charge right?

    I'll pass on 'em myself.

I didn't have a problem with what you said, your opinions of your firearms nor was I assuming anything about you. I was just expressing my opinions. My other comment was made towards
Mateo74 who called me a douche. I did say however you probably saved a little more money on the POF than the sig, but that was incorrect lol.

My S&W's an old 70's model 19, so no scandium. Low round count safe queen. Zero throat erosion and no holster wear marks on the blueing.

Look into Reman's (AKA Reloads), research the folks before you buy, buy a small lot (50 or 100 rounds) to test function and then when they have sales buy bulk.
    I got 500 rounds of 147 Gr Subsonic 9mm on sale for $79.00 and 500 rounds of 55 grain .223 for $102.00

The Sig M400 is made in the USA...

Not trying to knock it (I have one in a box somewhere) but its not the be all end all of rifles. A lot of people I talk to have no interest in a Sig unless it was made in West Germany.

I've had no issues with magtech, put 350 through my LCP. My buddies S&W 2.0 ate 1k and is still loving life with no failures. Dirty AF tho.

That is correct. Designed and made here in USA. I want to say all West German sigs are 1990 or before. The only difference between germany and west Germany sigs is a W or the fact that it’s from a place that doesn’t exist any more.

You can use a number of things. Corrosion X, Ballistol (non carcinogenic, but smells funny) or breakfree clp would be good starting points for what to clean it with.

How would be use a cleaning rod with a soft bristle brush and try and knock off as much rust as possible. Then go over with a rag/paper towel with solvent then repeat till it’s gone. Go over it once more with some sort of gun cleaner before storing it to prevent further rust.

After brushing, you can apply a good layer of Break Free to the bore and let it sit. After a day or two, clean the bore, apply another coating of BF. Keep cleaning and re-applhing until the rust is gone.

Break Free actually works its way under the rust, separating it from the steel. It takes a little time, but works very well.
