Again, thanks. My wife has me by the...., well you get it. I can’t tell her we shouldn’t buy anything now because she just points to guns (and really expensive scopes) laying all over the house. I’m in deep and gotta shed some of these!

Thanks. I may put the optics, or some of them up on TW just to see. I’ve never sold anything on here but it’s worth a shot. I have a crap load of scopes. I’m literally embarrassed at how many. LOL

yea definitely give it a shot I can only tell you from my own personal experience but after buying and selling multiple items on this forum, of which one was a shotgun purchase... that with only taking a few preventative measures of insurance there are some decent people on this forum hungry for cool things at the right price :fistbump:

I haven't bought expensive glass for a good long while (I've gone through a couple of ACOGs). I've got surplus Aimpoint Comp M2s on my "working guns". My Mosin has a Primary Arms, my .22 has a Nikon, I think and my 30-30 is sporting iron sights. I was thinking the other day about not being able to buy some nice goodies that go bang, then I realized I've spent close to $5k on truck stuff since Thanksgiving. Oops...

I hear ya. Looking back I’m not sure what the heck I was thinking other than I wasn’t thinking. I’m going to try some of the websites out and try to unload a few long guns that I know I’m not going to use and see how it goes. I can’t help it but I only buy great glass. Nothing against affordable optics but my vice has long been expensive optics. For the money that Leupold VX6 is a nice midgrade scope and I also think Trijicon makes a good midgrade scope too. I will start with unloading those and my lower line Swaros (I.e., Z3) and then get rid of a Leica and Schmidt or two.

I appreciate that. I got great prices on virtually everything I bought and will pass those savings along and then some. I’m just trying to get the nerve to actually post one. It sounds good until the time to actually get rid of one comes. LOL. Dang, I’m hopeless!

What Schmidts are you thinking of getting rid of? I'll need glass for a new build.

The only Schmidt I can part with at this time will be my Klassic 2.5-10x56 with German #4 reticle. I also have NIB Leupold VX6, Leica ERi with ballistic reticle, and other scopes similar to what I listed (Kahles, Swaro, Meopta, Minox, more Leica, Trijicon, and some miscellaneous stuff like Burris, Weaver, Redfield, Nikon, and others that I can’t recall without dragging them out). I’ll start posting them in the next week or so and if you see anything you like just PM me. Everything is new in box, never used except for one of my S&B.

Armslist is great as others have said for LOCAL transactions. Face to Face with people in your area. Gunbroker if you have something more expensive that needs national coverage. I've bought and sold a lot of common guns with armslist, but use gunbroker for the oddball stuff that needs a bigger market.

Thanks, I really do appreciate the help. I think I will need Gunbroker as well because I have a few things the locals may not know anything about. For example, I am going to unload my NIB Montana Rifle Company 280AI and I doubt very many of my locals will know much about that brand. :)

You never know. When I was looking for a Kimber classic select in 280AI, I looked on armslist first and found one 20 miles from me in a really small town NIB. Didn't buy it because I didn't like the wood, but was surprised to find an oddity like that so close.

May be worth a try. I also have a NIB Kimber Classic Select Grade 308 with wood that rivals my custom Weatherby Mark V. LOL. You name it and I shamefully either have it or had it (not literally, of course). I need some kind of intervention before my wife actually figures out how many I really have.

Hey bro, this is for you! This is the first batch I’m going to try to unload, along with a Kahles, KXi 3.5-10x50 that I literally just mounted a few weeks back on my Bob (257 Roberts Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Short Show Edition). Sorry for the terrible pics and I’ll post these for sale on the proper forum (don’t want to get in trouble ;)).
