    Basically how I like it

Except I'll probably add a bipod and I'm gonna sell the strikefire optic for something different...not sure what yet

You know, every time I see a built AR it makes me want to build one. But I need to wait.

    Question

I currently have a Vortex Strikefire II in some cantilever mount for this AR10 I picked up...playing around I feel like it sits just a smidge high for my tastes

I'm looking at a Vortex Strike Eagle...will I be happy with this scope for short to medium range stuff? Should I get short or medium rings? I noticed Vortex has several "grades" of rings...is there a noticeable difference between the $20 and the $55 pair?

Total trash, you should offload that optic to me for destruction

    lol

From what reading I've done in the long range community scope rings require VERY precise machining and that costs money I've even been told to avoid rings that cost less than $100, but it all depends on what accuracy you're shooting for. 1/4MOA? Expensive ass rings. 1-2 MOA? I'd probably buy some 50 dollar rings myself. No point on putting cheap mounts in between an expensive optic and an expensive gun.
