I was experimenting with some stuff on the 8" gong. It appears 1/2" rope seems to ring a little bit louder than a chain, only thing is I dont know how long it will last with the schrapnel. Also fresh paint will dampen the sound...ask me how I know ;)

after I painted it I hit it with my knife and it was noticeably quieter with a coat of wet paint. So I didnt wait for the paint to dry and shot the target anyhow ;) still made a good tink just not as pronounced as when it was without the fresh coat of paint 2minutes earlier:rofl::pout:

That does make sense, when you look at hickok’s targets they’re all black like he’s just using thin primer paint

Anyone need some 223/5.56 brass, large or small rifle primers, 308 and 223 projectiles or powder? Wound up with a ton of stuff from someone getting out of reloading. He would only sell it all. I have what I want, but have a ton of stuff for sale. I'll happily ship the brass and projectiles, but not the powder or primers (for obvious reasons). Here is the list. All prices OBO. If you are in Florida, I am willing to meet you within 30 miles of Tampa.

    Powder

Reloader 15 - 3 Full and one at 13 oz $22 ea/$20 for the partial

    224
Winchester Bulk Pointed Soft Point - 55 Gr Qty: 2459 $250 for all or $12 per 100
Buy all of them and I will throw in a small GI metal ammo can
and a small bag of misc 224 projectiles. Ships in a large Flat
    Rate box

    Primers
    CCI 400 SRP Qty: 6000 $150 for all or 27 a box

Sunday went out to the local podunk range, met some new guys who where already there, shot all kinds of weapons, had a wonderful time. Got my MSR scope and irons zeroed in happy about that.

Even got to put a few mags through this 1916 Luger a guy had brought, that was cool.

It always blows my mind how friendly gun guys are, like seriously, we just show up on these guys out in the middle of nowhere and bam we're all best friends putting thousands of dollars worth of guns in each others hands and having a hoot not a worry in the world just slaying paper and ringing steel.

It always seems to be like that whenever I meet gun guys, that just isn't so with any other sport or hobby I've encountered.

And they say we're all evil hateful psychopaths.

Well not quite what I meant but there is that. More meant the guys who start shooting when the line called a cease-fire. Or who set up in front of the firing line.

I just ordered some ammo and stuff from PSA and this was on there banner but in all reality it needs to be there all the time because they suck at slow times as well.....

"Due to extremely high order volume, orders will take at least 10 business days to process. Thank you for your business and understanding."
