2nd Q: would Holosun be a worthy step up from my Trs-25, or should I keep saving for a better red dot? Among the Holosun lineup, what would be best for an AR application?

They are saying they will run $399 and will ship March 2018. March came and went, they say they are working on it. They are pretty tough to get a hold of outside of instagram.

Some of the pre-production pics show a tight gap between the grip and back strap and others show a wide gap. I may hold out and see how they actually look when they ship before deciding if I'll buy.

As long as it puts up with 10mm. I like the ergos, so as long as it puts up with proper hipo 10mm it's fine by me.

I'm some purist are cringe at the very sight of a polymer 1911. I never cared. I just like guns. As long as they work well, then I'm happy. I have a CZ p07, its got a polymer lower, it's also a tank. All metal pistols sure look good though. I have been on lookout for a P01.

With that slide/lower design it looks very Sig'esque, I like it.

It's like an all metal 1911 and a Glock had a baby.
I would still take one so long as it used my existing 1911 mags.

I hate waiting for parts. Still waiting on a Galil folding stock for my AK from CNC Warrior. They finally contacted me, it was out of stock although they sold it to me. So I have to wait for it to be made.

So I've got an ak with just a normal wood stock on order for my boyfriend. It's taking a while to come in because it’s overseas I guess, they said they can get me one with a folding stock any time. Is that “cooler” or should I just wait on the other one

Personal preference really. The wood stock is the old school AK some purist want. Me, I'd personally take the folder. Easier to carry and stow in a bag or your vehicle.

If it's an underfolder, id wait. There is no easy way to put a different stock on one. Now, if it's a side folder that just screws into the standard mount, it might be worth it.

I believe it's a size folder. But I don't think it's imported like the other one is

What ak did you get? There is so much variation in aks depending on where they were originally from, who did the rebuild, who is importing it.
