Anyone into Kalashnikov rifles in here? Sold my AR15's and primarily stick with AK's and Glocks

This range always has someone on staff but they dont watch you like hawks. they just drink coffee in the club house. Sometimes they come and check our tags lol

They are hard to beat when you can get them for ~20 bucks though. Well if they do the rebate off again.

Sounds a lot like the range I go to . Its a covered area then open (no windows just covered). Each section has its own red lights. Plus a red line is painted on the floor about 1 foot behind the benches. When it goes cold the light flashes and you don't go past the redline unless going downrange. Don't touch anything on the bench. Then once you want to go hot again you have to get a thumbs up (or a verbal) from everyone saying they are ready to go hot. never had an issue even with new people. Thankfully the couple people who Ive encountered people who were there for the first time just sort of followed everyone else's lead and asked questions. We do have a RO but he is covering everything and tends to spend most of the time at the pistol range and the 25/50 yard range. Most of the RO's are willing to help so they tend to flock towards the inexperienced shooter stop give tips and advice

No, but I still kick myself for not buying a Valet model 76 in .308 with night sights back in the 80's. :der:
IMHO, Valmets were some of the nicest AK variants out there.

I have an old Norinco MAK 90 and a Yugo M70 underfolder. Have fun with both of them. Replaced gas tubes with ones that have a rail. ATN red dot on both.

I’ll take pics next time I’m there so you can see it. It’s cool. Has heat and fans and lights and lines on the floor and little stalls with windows you open and shoot out of

Sounds fancy haha. Mines just simple which works fine. Each "range" is separated by a berm. Nothing seperates you from the person next to you except space. They provide the target stands though so its pretty obvious where you shoot.

When i was working swingshift i would go there right when they opened in the morning. had a couple fun times as local PD would show up with service rifles for plinking fun. Couple of those guys had some personal guns that were really nice too. Since it was usually just me, my pops, and them we'd all try each others guns out. Actually helped a officer with the NFA process one time. He had a service suppressor but wanted personal ones and had no clue how to do it. Used the RO's laptop and walked him through how to do it lol

Not fancy at all. It’s basically a shed with lights windows and an oil heater lol

Also, just adopted this babe 86E25D9C-0C4B-455F-A1AF-1D2E111B6759.jpg

I've got an old Sears Roebuck model 200 which I understand was a made by Winchester and similar to their Model 1200. Grandpa bought it for dad and then I got it. Interesting with the twist adjustable choke. I think it was a wedding gift in 1974.

I have an old Mossberg bolt 12ga with a poly choke like that. They're actually pretty handy during fall turkey season, since I can leave it opened up during my walk in for if I flush a partridge, then tighten it up once I'm in position and ready to start calling. It'd be handier with a pump gun, I'm sure, since the bolt doesn't make for a very fast followup shot.

I flatter myself in that I don't usually need one, though. Been lucky so far in that respect. :notsure:

That looks exactly like the Winchester Model 12 I got from my grandpa. Only difference I see is the forearm. Mine is round with small grooves around it. It has the polychoke on it also.
