Found this pretty informative about the Mossberg 930. Breaks it all down about the issues found on a 930. The mods are well worth it, easy, and pretty cheap too.

Anyone have any experience using these guys for milling? I'm looking at having a Shield milled for an RMR.

Should I use cerakote or duracote to refinish these? I want to go with a non-standard color to easily differentiate between my 9 and 40 mags for my M&P.

    WTF?
What were you using for a mag carrier?

Dang! You must live in a swamp. If it was me, I'd just use plain ole rattle can spray paint.

If it was me I would knock the rust off of it and try bluing it with Vans.

Safari land triple mag carrier, open top.

Pretty much, yesterday was solid rain, 90’s, and 99% humidity.

I used rattle can on my AR, even after 2 coats of clear I still have the high-wear areas back to anodized aluminum, I think magazines would wear even faster.

My 9mm magazines are blued, I was thinking of a dark gray, it will still look “normal” in uniform but I can easily glance and see the difference at the range.

You could also number the bottom of the magazine with a paint marker or even spray paint the base itself also for identification.

Wow, that's crazy. I've never seen mags rust like that

I don’t know how old these mags are but they’re very worn (finish wise), the pistol was bought as a LE trade in 5 years ago, from the wear on the mags and pistol it saw several years of service.

I would try it as is, it should be fine having a little bit of jiggle room.

I wouldn’t, I think it would be best to keep as much spring tension as possible.

I had them mill my M&P 2.0 a few months ago. Great work and they had it back to me way under the quoted time.

    They cleaned up pretty well.
The Cerakote color “sniper grey” is pretty darn sexy also.

Hell no, the cheaper brass cased rounds I’ll shoot ASAP, the others (browning BXP, and gold dot) are still good to go.

Most eyes after 40 aren't. That's why the old timers used receiver or tang sights. They don't require focusing on multiple planes. I have even resorted to using fiber optic front sights to make it even easier for old eyes.

I've seen some really old Black Powder guns with multiple dovetails cut in the barrel for moving the rear sights up the barrel.

might be female coon around also, I dont know if they have a mating season or they are active all year. I would assume they have a certain time of year for it depending on location, I dont know. But its better to take them out since they are a nuisance...

All kidding aside. I really want an M44. They seem like very handy guns.
