I'd vote the cz scorpion or an mp5 clone. A 16" in 9mm really doesn't do much other than add weight. Youll generally gain some velocity buts it pretty negligible over the 4-6" barrels.

I like my zenith mp5-k clone cause...its an mp5 lol. But the scorpion is fun too especially with the carbine length handguard and "tucked" suppressor

Stupid question, is this line around the case normal?

Crimp line, in my experience they’re typically higher than that, shouldn’t be dangerous to shoot as bullet setback looks normal.

It is called a cannelure. It is meant to prevent the bullet from getting pushed into the case from chambering.
Some have had issues of separation on extraction where the case split and the section forward of the cannelure stayed in.

Like this one. Unsure if it was a double charge or worn out brass.
    Blew out an M&P frame.

Double charge would be my bet, based on both the Cannelure separating and the base blowing out like that. Although it’s possible the brass was weak enough to do both with a standard charge I don’t see it being very likely.

Becuase, that'd be something like fun and you'd waste too much ammo... :hattip:

Any Savage gurus in the house?

I picked up this 308 for fairly cheap and after researching for a couple days I have finally narrowed it down to a model 10 PSR. There’s not much info out there other than it seems to be a neutered down Model 10 FCP. It does not have the accu stock or the one piece scope mount and has a 4 round flush fit magazine. Stock options also seem to be limited due to the bottom bolt release.

This is my first Savage and for the most part it seems to be a solid gun. The accu trigger is feather light.

I’m going to get rid of that corny muzzle brake and put some better glass on it. I should be able to make it out to the range tomorrow and see what it can do as is. Hopefully there won’t be many people there for me to offend with that obnoxious brake.

So has anyone else seen or had experience with this bastard of a rifle?
