If you've got a decent rifle already it may be cheaper to just buy enough ammo for it. They usually don't limit you to a .22

Back in February I purchased 3 GEMTECH cans from my local FFL. Purchased the cans through the “guardian program” (basically half off for Veterans), trust, tax stamps, a stripped lower for my SBR, and my SBR tax stamp

My SBR paperwork and everything is done and submitted, just waiting on that now

The cans on the other hand, well not so much. S&W bough GEMTECH last year or sometime close, the cans still havent shipped from GEMTECH... I can’t submit any of the paperwork to start my 8-12 month wait because I do not have the serial numbers for the cans, and I won’t have that info until they come in (if they ever freaking do) I’m just frustrated
I can go and get my money back for the cans and just go with another company and hope I don’t have to wait a whole year for those to come in before my actual “wait time” starts...

I went with GEMTECH because the reviews were good, the shop owners run them, and I was able to buy all 3 at once through this veteran program. But man this is BS

I had a friend go through the same experience with them last year. The can itself only took about 6 months to show up at the shop but he ordered a handful of muzzle devices at the same time and it took almost 16 months for him to get those. And in the end they weren't even able to get him what he ordered, they had ended up sending him all muzzle brakes instead of a mix of brakes and flash hiders like he had ordered because they didn't have the flash hiders available. I believe at the time the brakes were more expensive so he was ok with the trade off but still seems like poor service.

I personally plan to go with Dead Air when I finally decide to drop the coin on a couple cans, the owners used to be the main designers for SilencerCo and left to start their own business. I have heard many good things about their products.

That’s another reason I chose GEMTECH, my local has all of the QD muzzles and attachments in stock.
But 10 months later and I (my LGS) still doesn’t even have my cans

By the time or if they ever do show up, I’ll be at 24 months waiting for them

Yes, they said that I should have an "order number" from my LGS. But that number is between my LGS and GEMTECH, and since I ordered through that veteran program, I don't have that sadly :(

Yes they are, I've done a lot of business with them, they're at the mercy of GEMTECH as well. Im not the only customer who's waiting on GEMTECH either.

    Well this is interesting.
I ordered 2 holsters from Safariland, both 6390RDS, one for my M&P and one for my Glock.
Received the M&P holster today (ordered a few hours later than the Glock holster, 4 week wait for those wondering) and the holster is marked for a Sig P320, packaging marked for the M&P. And my Glock fits in it (just like it fits in the non-RDS 6360).

Most light bearing holsters use the light for primary retention IIRC.

This holster has retention with or without the light attached, the retention device is on the forward side of the holster (top of the firearm) and locks into the ejection port of the pistol.

Ended up picking up a Ruger Am Ranch in 300 BLK today.

Gun safe key pad shit the bed so spent an hour on the phone with Cannon

Since my safe is locked down, I’ve got to rent a gun for tomorrow’s conceal carry course that I’m taking for the second time lol.

It’s been a day full of mixed emotions

    Update on this.
M&P with TLR-1 works well, with the Holosun HS507C on a DueckDefense dovetail mount there’s very little clearance between the top of the optic and the holster, but it does fit.
The optic cover hood easily pops open on the draw, however with this dovetail mount it does not reliably pop open because of the iron sight in the dovetail mount.
There’s quite a lot of room for very tall suppressor sights inside the holster which is something I was worried about.

Sig P320 also fits well with the TLR-1.

Unfortunately the re-holster stroke is much different on the RDS holster than the regular 6360 holster, it requires much more precision and if you screw it up on the first time you’re gonna fumble with it for a few seconds before it goes home.
Also both the M&P and P320 are quite loose without the light attached, and my Glock 19 (which fits my 6360 holster for my M&P) is very sloppy even with the light.
