Finally got a chance to shoot it. However without the brace. I’m hoping it comes in tomorrow or Monday.

T36 from tommy built here is the rifle with the longer flash and pinned.
    https://www.tommybuilttactical.com/t36k-rifle-complete-16-5-barrel
Basically the guy behind the sl8 to g36 conversions started making his own stuff with Choate and gsg. Right now they have the 36k pistol and rifle. 36c pistol and rifle. I assume if these go well we may see his xm8 and ump conversions become full products. Atlantic arms is also selling them. The brace for the pistol versions uses the tailhook. Tomorrow I should have the first 250 rounds through it so I can update then however I am waiting on a optic to come in to mount it.

Anyone else have a dedicated firearm space in their house?

Still working on mine, it's in the bonus room in a nook and the entire room really serves as a man cave

I'm planning on building new ammo shelves that will accommodate ammo cans against the wall opposite of the table

Unfortunately the safe wont fit up the stairs so it's not gonna join this space but extra gear, bags, mags, ammo, and such will be stored here and provides a workspace for cleaning and maintenance

Once I get my own place I hope to have something like this. I keep telling the wife that I want a workshop area, a 6 car garage and a 2 bedroom apt. :bananadance:

When I owned my own home in the mountains I had a whole room in the basement dedicated to my guns, reloading equipment, ammo, and backpacking gear. I built a 6’ bench and another 6’ of shelves with a nook just big enough for my safe. The back corner had a queen size bed for when I snored really bad and got kicked out of bed. I miss sleeping in that basement. When the lights were off you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, it was always 10 degrees colder, and the sound of the dehumidifier made for perfect sleep

Since I rarely take pics of my collection, I don’t have any pictures of the gear and gun side of the room. Here’s the bed and reloading bench

Yea I’ve been in the renting game since moving to the coast and selling our home. Hopefully in the next three months I’ll own again and be able to have my space for guns. My last rent house (got tore up from Florence hitting us) my damn safe was next to the bed in the master bedroom and all my reloading gear was tossed in the closet.
We are in a 6 month lease now and as soon as it runs out we’ll buy a house. The one we are looking at has an office so that’ll become my man cave more than likely

I used too....then the gf moved in and it didnt work for me using both spare bedrooms lol. Now all I have is my small bench (like 2'x4') with the Dillion 550b press on it.

Old setup was a nice 2x8 benchtop or so with shelves under and on top. This picture gives the general idea
    [IMG]

Once we move Ill be having a dedicated gun room though.

Kind of funny though but I started with one spare bedroom and when we did the flooring I moved the setup into the other spare bedroom. Then the gf moved in and I had to pack everything up AGAIN. Pretty much said f unpacking most of it till we move again lol.

I’m headed to SHOT next week. I’ll be there Monday-Friday. What should I have on my radar?

Bought a 52” Game Winner single rifle hard case from Academy today and it fits both of my Ruger American rifles with scopes.

Hell of a deal considering that the cheapest 2 gun hard case was $249

I have a Plano for my Ruger American W/ scope. It’s a tight fit and not entirely ideal.
