The Springfield 911 is pretty dang nice. Smaller than a Shield, aluminum frame, nice trigger, and good sights right out of the box.

Nice gun for sure. I think I’m going to do what I always do when I buy a gun and just go handle a bunch, maybe even shoot a few, and buy what feels best. The key for her is going to be the feel. If it fits her hands and she can handle it, I bet she can shoot it just fine. I appreciate all the help!

Another great looking gun too. Springfield is also on my list for a 1911.

    Great choice. I have a Walther PPK/S and it's a great gun.

Just my opinion, I had heard so much about the Bersa 380 that I purchased one to see what all the "Hipe" was about, Well, it is what all the articles said it is, I have been to the range several times and it has been flawless, a plus for me is that it has a decocker, imop it would make a great purse gun. and best of all is the price. Do a little research and comparison, you might be surprised. jmop

    I also carry one.

It's very reliable, accurate, and very easy to conceal.

Mine is the nickel model. Makes it good for the humid climates.

How are they sizewise compared to the Ruger LCP?

Also, since I’m looking now, any thoughts on the Dan Wesson Vigil 1911?

I have a PPS M2 and love it. I handle it better with the mag that has a pinkie extension, and shoot almost as well with it as my glocks. I have mediumish hands I’d say and find it comfortable.

Got a 25lb rubber coated magnet from Amazon yesterday. The cup holder pops out so you can put locking nuts on the bolts. I like how the magnet sticks out a bit so you can get a good grip and you can put the weapon low enough you can't see it looking through passenger window.100_1777.jpg100_1778.jpg 100_1779.jpg

    ?
Why not? A magnet mount like that would be perfectly legal in Maine, NH, or VT, and we're as NE as it gets. :notsure:

Edit- (of course, I personally would prefer an actual holster if it were me...)

Blanket assumption that the NE gun laws are the strictest in the country aside from CA. Generally speaking, that’s true.

Main being looser on the gun laws doesn’t surprise me but NH and VT does.

Just looked and NH accepts NC CCP but Vermont doesn’t

It's a split. MA, RI, and CT are pretty restrictive. Maine, NH, and VT are very reasonable.

Heavier, thinner, and larger. I can carry mine in my front pants pocket pretty easily.
