Got this for $325 new. Too cheap to pass up and I knew I could just pop the safety out.

 

Worth every penny I love the ability to change out pretty much any micro red dot I want and shoots like a dream

 

How do you like the trigger on that? The one on the FNX9 I handled was pretty nice for stock. Was really impressed.

 

The trigger on the 509T is a little gritty at first but after a few hundred rounds it was so solid I heard Apex drops the pull weight to 5.5lbs from 7ish. Wanted to try them out but I have to wait on their jigs to be restocked

 

I really wanna try the apex but i dont wanna pay $150 to send it in to them

But I also dont want to risk breaking my frame because of that devilpin. lol

 

They mentioned somewhere that they let you rent the jig but I dont know how you would do that. May have to call them and find out if it's true.

Any SKS aficionados here? A friend of mine is looking to buy one and asked me if there is anything he should look out for issues wise. The only things I could think of were mismatched parts, rust on the gun or in the bore.

 

get a threaded barrel vs a pinned barrel if possible. Russian SKS are best if you can find them cheap. Romanians are decent, chinese with pinned barrels are the cheapest but still work good. need to clean all the cosmoline off it if it has any. Some are new and packed, its everywhere.

 

make sure it has a bayonet lug also.
