Not bad for a cold day (made the mistake of wearing shorts and a T-shirt to the range) and a $400 gun

They fired and hired all new ROs at our local range so I finally started going back. Old crew literally had no idea what they were doing and were gonna get someone killed

Me too, maybe Monday after an interview, I’ll be down near my range anyway.

That is fantastic , And one of the reasons I have not been to the outdoor range in awhile is because of RO's that think they know everything. Some of them are cool but you alway's have at least one that wants to be the Spokesperson/ Drill Instructor for the whole place. :annoyed:

Bolt is really sticky. It’s worse on my 300blk.. nearly problematic. The 308 is pretty smooth

Yeah, I read tp just sit there and cycle it ad infinitum to smooth it out. Thinking about this, too:

    how many rounds so far?

my ruger gsr in .308 also had a sticky tendency (perhaps it was partially the user as well) but the last trip out it really seems to have smoothed out

45 out of the 308 and 50 out of the 300blk. Got a long way to go before it’s acrually concerning to me.

I watched that the other day. I’ll prolly end up doing that for the 300blk if it doesn’t get better by the 200rd mark

We had 88 meetings at SHOT, so I had little time to explore. I saw *maybe* 10% of what was on the floor. Nothing much excited me, save for this neat Mini-Mosin Nagant in .22LR by Kestone (maker of the Crickett). This is the first in a limited run series including other pint size classics. The prototype, pictured, sustained some damage at the show, but I look forward to seeing the finished product. While Keystone isn’t one of my clients, I had to take the NRA by to check it out. They were equally enthused.

Wall mart has pretty good deals on ammo.
That where I get mine. It is comparable to the show. Unless buying in bulk.

I just got off work and I'm at UC Irvine visiting a co-worker. He ate the big one last week.

I would of loved to go look for some pad or something for my rifle :pout:

    I have kid duty tomorrow

I will take a picture of the pad on my Mosin....

See if I can find a name on it.

After 10 bucks for parking and 18 bucks to get in, need save a bunch to make it worthwhile.

Although next show I might have to start getting parts for my new build.

I think it is price gun owners out of attending, but with not many venues left behind the Kommiefornia curtain, you.pay to.play.

Understood, Shows here are pricing themselves out of the market. People from the state are now at every show making sure everyone is charging tax etc.
And NO deals are made in the parking lot anymore.

Any suggestions for a concealed carry that’ll fit in my wife’s small purse that’ll actually stop someone? Also, she has small/dainty hands. I’m thinking a 380 but haven’t a clue about the rest. I’ve always been mostly a rifle/shotgun only guy with only a couple of handguns here and there. We currently have a S&W M&P Shield 9mm and S&W 38 Special revolver for home use passed down from my grandfather and that’s it. I want a 1911 but next up is a gun for my wife. Thanks.
