I had one of those molded rubber braces on my AR9, but as soon as I saw that SB Tactical adjustable braces had to has.

 

I bought the AR/SOB for my 300 and like it. Length is almost perfect for me. I also went with the longest tube I could find.

For a pistol I would be partial to .300 blackout, all the same can be said for that caliber as well.

 

If one already has another setup in 300blk.

 

Everything except the ammo is interchangeable with a 5.56 as well

If going suppressed, 300blk or 458 socom. Mainly critter dependant there. If not, 458 or 5.56, also critter dependant. 458 in grizzly country, smol boolets elsewhere.

 

What kinda suppressor you gonna run? I always wanted a Dead Air. Really to bad the silencer bill got killed. It's so silly they are so restricted.

 

Living in IL sucks, supressors are banned altogether. Once I leave I'm likely going to form 1 a 30cal can for 300blk and bolt action duty first, then start looking at 5.56 and 9mm cans for my other guns. In due time.

 

Why does this not surprise me?

I went to visit some friends I have that live in Chicago. My buddy wanted to show me this huge gun and knife store there and it was a great store. Huge selection, they even had some MP5s. Yeah, it was kinda like being at a strip club in that I was not allowed to touch, let alone purchase anything.

I also have relatives that live in Southern Illinois. My uncle there has been huge into firearms his entire life. Years ago it was like that. I can remember as a kid going to his house and seeing my first non hunting firearms. He would take use out shooting and teach us the basics etc.. He is going nuts there now.

You know you can use a 30 cal can on a 5.56

 

Well of course you can. but why not still have both Heck i have two 30cal cans and a 223 ca...and a 458 can

 

Well aware, but my 5.56 can will be a dedicated AR15 can, probably for just one rifle. Not to say I won't run the 30 cal before that, but the 5.56 will be lighter, smaller, and possibly quieter.

 

I figured you knew, just wanted to make sure. I have a .30 cal Omega and sometimes run it on my wife's 5.56 and it works great. I mostly use in on my 300 BLK. With subsonic loads it's supper quiet.
