I got stuck in FBI background purgatory + 1 month for shutdown so mine was 14 months for my Sandman. My friend filed a month after me and got it in 7 months.

The cool thing about the integrals on the takedowns is that it leaves them in a really short package without having to thread a can on.

Dang you, I really want one now. I shot my .22 pistol over the weekend. I forgot how fun it is for how cheap it is to shoot.

    I'd also recommend a S&W 686.

Look at the Ruger GP100 series, also. Solid, well made guns, available in several calibers.

For .38, I shoot Federal American Eagle and PMC factory, or my reloads.

I have shot other brands, and don't recall ever having any issues.

Don't buy a S&W w/an external hammer, whatever you do. It'll ruin your expectations for revolver triggers forever.

I love my GP100, but ever since I bought my model 19 I can't help but notice that the trigger on the Ruger feels almost clunky by comparison.

No doubt Ruger trigger could be slicked up a bit.

Look at the Match Champion gun - it has a smoother trigger. Same as all the GPs, but smoothed and tuned a little bit.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to get it a trigger job, but honestly it shoots just as well as the Smith in terms of accuracy so I haven't bothered. Besides, the GP100 trigger is still head-and-shoulders above the semi-auto poly pistols that make up most of the rest of my collection.

    Agreed.

I have been thinking about tuning the trigger myself - really just stone some parts and put in lighter springs. One day, I will get to it.

As soon as I finish building my truck...........................

    Honestly
I have a Winchester, so that alone makes it superior to the Marlin.....

    Jk
Have nothing against either, just clowning.

I load my own. With powder coated, cast lead bullets I can load them for around 10¢ each. Shoot pretty good to. For factory ammo, sorry can't help you, haven't bought any factory ammo (except for .22) in years.

I've got a 642 I carry in a pocket holster. Its lightweight and almost like not carrying a gun since it's on the smaller side. It stings to shoot with 38+p bullets. I'd imagine an air weight 357 would hurt to shoot

I got a little Taurus snub nose 357. It's a beast to shoot!
