Handgun mounted Red dots have been discussed on the site before, but I've not seen this 4 year study by Sage Dynamics referenced or discussed.

TL;DR: While iron sights are cheap and relatively easy to teach fundamentals on, they have significant drawbacks in a use of force situation for both law enforcement and civilian users. By equipping a handgun with a reliable, proven optic solution you can gain significant situational awareness, speed to acquire target, and accuracy on target in almost all situations.

For the really super impatient: Optics vs iron sights is like Pistols vs Revolvers. Irons and revolvers have some advantages over Optics and Pistols, but statistically the optic and pistol are more effective solutions in almost all situations.

Dang, too bad you weren't going today, I would've tried to get a couple of 20 round mags for my Mini 14. Nice of you to do this for us Californians!

That would be great. I just need one, I just snagged a 30 rounder. If you aren't headed that way don't worry about making a special trip though.

EDIT: Scratch that, I got a blemished 20 rounder on Brownells for $20. Thanks though!

I haven't looked too much into this, but as a WA resident, I could purchase some hi-caps and send them to folks I know in CA without breaking any laws?

Um, I believe you mean to say standard capacity magazines as opposed to reduced capacity magazines.

I found a Vortex Viper on sale recently, so I'm going down the path of milling my P07, the single stack subcompact will have to come later.

I kind of feel the same as @Tlook. If I were in as heavy a regulated state, I'd appreciate any help skirting that bs.

If you're lookin' for something, just shoot me a PM.

I have a Gen 4 Glock 34 MOS with Dual Illuminated Trijicon RMR. I absolutely love it. It's like a laser cannon, extremely accurate.

I purchased 4 super scary “high capacity” magazines today to send to a foster parent in So-Cal while they’re legal.

Yep, hence the sarcastic “super scary” and “high capacity”.
