    1. Yes
2-3. It’s new to me, supposedly had 20 rounds through it before. The insides are spotless (BCG, feed ramps, etc.).
4-5. No, just the Remington factory loads it came with.

Was this somebody's build or factory rifle? What length gas system?

I was told factory built PSA, but found out it was not after acquiring. Carbine length gas system.

I don't have any experience with .450. From what I hear than can be finicky in ARs, just what I hear no first hand knowledge with that cartridge. It does sound like it could be under gassed. The below link might help you out.

    Yes

Built it from a turk Mauser and Rhineland conversion kit.

Yes...... Provided you have a basic understanding of how a bolt action feeds and extracts, or are willing to learn. It's not as smooth as most factory guns and needs some tinkering sometimes. Don't expect perfection and you'll be alright. Headspace is easy, because it uses a Savage-style barrel nut. It's the quietest centerfire you will ever shoot.

ATF Eforms form 1's are processing really fast. I filed on 6/11, got the stamp on 7/3, had the lower engraved 7/5 in the morning. Assembled the upper at lunch time. Then by dinner time had the adjustable gas block set, red dot sighted in, and was hitting a steel at 100 yards every time.

The only thing left to do is shim the flash hider. The shims kit should be here Friday.

    Awesome!

Since they’re coming back that quickly I should probably form 1 a second lower.

I can't wait to move to TX. Got a few F1 plans for supressors and at least 1 SBR. on the topic of SBR's, anybody use an Anderson lower for an SBR in here?

I know plenty of people who have. No real reason not to. Like any gun/lower I'd still test it to make sure everything is gtg before doing the form 1 stuff. But ya don't hear of lowers being out of tolerances much these days

Where in Texas you moving to?

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Anderson but don’t have personal experience with them

I’m running a CMMG lower on my SBR and my new register will be a PSA, I see no reason not to use an Anderson.

I have not used Anderson lowers but have a couple of their upper receivers. They are good IMO.

That said there are only a handful of actual manufacturers of AR lower receivers. They are branded many things, but made by a finite number of makers.

Good, been using it as a regular rifle up to now, so I expect shortening would be pretty painless.

DFW, specifically northeast of the TCU campus in Fort Worth.

That's what I've figured but I hear lots of guys talk shit, you can never be too sure what's talk and what's experience.

Starting to trouble shoot this rifle. I get home from work, put it on the workbench, and remove the stock. First thing I find wrong is a bent spring. This has nothing to do with the cycling, but it makes me question the entire build. Guess I’ll tear the whole thing down and reassemble.
