I have a 19 that I use for CCW and HD. Was going to cut the slide so I could run the gun in competition.

After shooting a few 19's with Ted dot, I purchased a competition 34 already milled, added the red dot.
A red dot shoots so much different than iron sights, I did not want it on my CCW.
Old guy, slow learner here, but that is my story.
Added note: running IDPA has made me focus more on my flat range with my 17, 19, 21 and 34. While I will never win a trophy at this, that was never the reason I started. It is great practice to move, shoot. Take cover n shoot.

Mostly just personal preference over anything really. I only tried it with a Burris FastFire II (or III?...honestly cant remember). My nightstand gun is a FNX-45 Tactical with a Osprey45 and TLR-1s. I just found for me, personally, I liked using just the night-sites that come on the FNX over a dot. Plus didnt have to worry about turning it on or adjusting brightness or batteries, ect. Plus going back and forth between having the light on and off I had a harder time adjusting to the dot vs just the sights.

Thats all. Just wasnt a fan over it. Kind of like how I dont own a glock cause it didnt feel right in my hand. Just one of those things

I don’t blame you not wanting it on your CCW, I CCW a Ruger LCP, Springfield XDs or Walther PPS, never been able to comfortably carry larger with the clothes that I wear.

I would like to start shooting 3 gun and USPSA, it would make me shoot more.

I can see that, my dot is the Holosun 507 with the shake awake technology so I shouldn’t have to mess with it, that would be a deal breaker for me with a nightstand gun.

My nightstand gun is a 12.5” 556 SBR with a Griffin Optimus and TLR-1HL, I probably won’t ever change it unless traveling.

im sure with different RDS's I could find something that would work. I just dont care to much since Ive found I like just the plain sights. Also have the carry gun in the nightstand too.

Then the 8" 300blk SBR (with an AAC 762-SD-N and TLR-1s) isnt far away either. That one is still rocking a EoTech 512

We’re you the one who recommended Primary Machine?
I sent an email asking if they could do a cut that on their site says for RMR and Viper only and less than 2 minutes after I emailed them they emailed me back, astounding!

Edit: never mind, it was @EubeenHadd

I've been wanting to upgrade my belt to a Ronin Senshi or a blue alpha gear double belt with molle. I haven't been able to find a coupon code for either so hopefully one of the two companies has a black Friday sale.

If you see a coupon for BAG post it up, I’m waiting for one to get a BAG duty belt.

New holster came in today from Muddy River Tactical. Extremely happy with the fit and customer service. Conceals very well for OWB and very comfortable

    Looks good Nick!

Question for you guys, how do you mark your mags? I just ordered 3 more M&P mags and I’ll need a way to easily differentiate between the 9mm and .40 mags, I’m thinking spray paint the base plates tan.

Either spray paint the bases, paint pen a number on them, electrical tap (more for AR style mags), or paint a line across the mag (again AR type mags)

I'd hate to have to clean up that mess though lol. Still a cool way to do it.

I'll stick to a brass rod though. Couple taps and I've always had the cases drop out. Then just discard the round(since hitting the tip of the bullet probably shortened overall length). Never had one stuck so bad that it didn't work.

Good to hear, I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I plan to do a couple more builds with them in the future because their stuff is just good.

I’ll probably paint the bases and paint pen the body.
