What was the wild deal this Summer, was it $199 or $250? I'd totally jump on this at $250.

Once you get your C&R make sure you submit it to brownells and check with other websites. A lot of sites will give discounts for being a "dealer". If you buy a lot it ends up paying for the C&R

Thats what one of my local gun guys was telling me, hell if I buy one mil-surp it pays for 90% of the $30 transfer fee.
I don’t have any mil-surps currently but want to get several, at a Halloween party the other week a buddy showed me his 8mm Mauser and now I need to get a Mauser, Lee Enfield, Mosin, and oh so many more.
I figured I might as well jump in and get my C&R.

Yeah i got mine more for buying milsurps too. Picked up quite a few so its paid for itself saving on transfers.

I cant remember who all does the discounts but i know brownells for sure does. J&G Sales might have in the past. Worth asking at least.

I used my C&R for a while. Midway also gives a decent discount (might be wholesale). I let mine lapse when I was moving from state to state. Now that my living situation has more or less stabilized I may do it again.

Be careful about this. Natchez in fact, charges more for shipping to dealers. I've forgotten to log out of my dealer account before and gotten screwed. Shipping is fixed $7.99 for non dealers, but a sliding fee for dealers. Total BS. Discount has never made up for this discrepancy.

I've had my C&R for a while. They are pretty much useless nowadays. Unless you want the convenience of having overpriced shitty Mosin Nagants and tokarevs shipped right to your door.... CMP used to have good stuff, but that time has long passed.

Midway does not offer any dealer discounts, to wit:

"We do not offer a dealer discount. Mr. Potterfield started out as a dealer, but he believes the best business strategy is to concentrate on one type of Customer - the end user."

That's unfortunate. I could have sworn they had a C&R discount.

    From another forum....
If you’re putting off buying a can/SBR/sbs go ahead and send in those form 4’s.

I didn't know that about Natchez. But also very rarely order from them. But good thing to keep in mind elsewhere.

And there are tons of c&r guns still out there besides mosins and tokarovs. But I also enjoy my old mil surps more than modern stuff generally speaking. And it sure is nice having them delivered to my door step instead of having to schedule pick up times or drive all over to pick them up.

But I do agree with ya in a lot of people seem to get it and use it once or twice to buy a fun that most local gun stores will have in stock so not worth it then

Any idea what a M44 1944 numbers matching carbine with bayonet and 120 rounds of ammo is worth?
