Any reason not to consolidate these down to no box and single ammo can? Seems wasteful to only have 200 rounds each box.

I’m not that concerned about a recall, and I wouldn’t use the lot numbers for anything else...

Recall isn’t what I would use lot numbers for but I think that answers the question. Pour those things loose in the box, and save space.

Pardon my nosiness/ignorance, what would you use lot numbers for?

All 800 barely fit in one box, not sure when it will be used though as I don’t have a slower twist barrel to shoot these 50 grain projectiles through.

Sorting. This still probably doesn’t apply to 98% of people. Also more so applies to match grade stuff, used for match grade stuff.

Without going into immense detail, different lots will give slight velocity changes, and sometimes slightly different zeros. Different tooling and quality control standards at the factory. If you aren’t into knowing your ES and SDs on factory ammo, then it’s of no concern really. I only mentioned it because you said “any reason.”

Good to know, I don’t even have a Chrono to track that data so it definitely doesn’t apply, but still good knowledge to have.

Picked this up yesterday. Second CZ. First Dan Wesson.

Think I should replace the grips for G10? I can't decide. Those wood grips are pretty sexy, but I like the grip on G10.

223 is dense, and a full can of 223 gets pretty heavy. Not as bad as some other calibers, but still considerable mass to lug around. I'd run with the condensed into mags option myself.

I have replaced all my 1911 grips with G10 simply because of bite. They stay in my bears so much better....

    I have these:
    https://www.tacticalinc.com/catalog/product/id-5154

More expensive than brownells, but thet are nice. I'm leery of brownell's warning that "non OEM parts may not fit". I don't think I've got any Ruger OEM parts in mine and thet work fine.

They really do have a good bite to them. Plus, they look awesome. Was looking at VZgrips and they told me they can do Bobtail grips.

Well, it would be easier to keep some here and there, and a little across the way, if you kept them the way they are. If your intent is to keep them together, then you really need to consolidate.

These are VZ grips on the C-Bob and G10’s on the Nighthawk GRP, many options.

Yeah I saw that warning on the Brownells ones. With the good reviews I took that more as CYA type note on their part.

I take the whole box to the range but it’s a good idea to simplify inventory! Thanks!

Palmetto State Armory is running a 1-6x24 Vortex Strike Eagle with mount deal, $249 (was $389) shipped with code VORTEX. Good until 2/10.

These are pretty good middle of the road types of scopes. Really happy with the one on my poverty pony, so I figured another would go good on my higher end build.

My eyes are getting to the point where an unmagnified red dot doesn’t get me nearly as far out as it used to, and price for high quality optics is almost obscene. Looks like I’ll be moving the MRO to the PC9 with this buy.

Got some range time in tonight, tested the 10/22 build, it had some hiccups with Geco rifle (red box) and CCI standard but otherwise it shoots well.
I also got to test the Larue trigger while practing 1R1 drills, it’s really nice and easy to shoot quickly.

Check out how nasty the BCG is after 2-3 mags.
