It was made to be shot, shoot it. If you want something to look at take a picture of it and hang it on the wall.

Anything is only worth what you make it worth. And it sounds like you would get way more enjoyment out of shooting it then a safe queen i say let loose on a bulk pack of 22lr and never look back

Anybody running truglo TFX or TFX pro sights? contemplating the fiber optic / tritium combo for all light conditions. Have a fiber front, doesnt brighten up well enough when indoors at the range. pros / cons / other options?

I can’t answer whether you should shoot it or not, but I like it. I was in a quest last year to find one because I had one as a child and wanted another. These are fine rifles. No they’re not worth much, but as far as .22 rifles go, I don’t think you can find a better rifle for nowhere near the price. I have better rifles, Coopers, CZ’s, Anschutz etc.., but I love these rifles. I ended up buying two from Gunbroker last year. I put a modern scope on the more used one and it’s pretty darn accurate with good Ammo.

I have the Truglo TFX Pro’s on my G43. Love them. The tritium is great at night and fiber optics great in the sun. During a low light condition the sights aren’t super luminescent but since the Pro’s have the orange ring on the front sight it makes it quick and easy to get a sight picture and get on target. The metal casing on the Pro’s are solid and offer great protection for the optics. You can even rack the slide using them if you needed. Not sure if other options now, but when I bought them I felt like they were the best option available, hands down.

I'll be the odd man out. Don't shoot it. If it means a lot to you that it's in perfect condition then keep it that way.

a battle belt seems a little extreme for CCW. Is this separate to your carrying concealed?

    That makes sense.

I like blue alpha gear and for full kit vtac broco. Unless you are just wanting a riggers belt.

For drills/range use I use a duty belt, I use safariland holsters so I use the QLS system and can easily switch holsters on the belt, the inner belt is loop Velcro and is stiff enough to use as a daily belt if you want to. The outer belt has a cobra buckle and is hook Velcro on the back, it’s easy to move stuff around on the belt and then once you put it on everything stays in place and the belt doesn’t ride up.

I use the Blue Alpha Gear belt, it’s fairly low profile and very high quality.

yes the inner-outer belt system works great.

I was also going to recommend the QLS system with the mid ride UBL and one thigh strap. but I thought that I'd be giving away all the secrets!

if you’re paying more than $70 for a belt that style you’re overpaying. I have a Vedder belt. Super sturdy, and thick so the holster clip gets a tight grip. I can hold it in my hand and clip on my holster with my loaded G43 and it hold up. Others to be found online for around $60 that appear similar. My buddy said stay away from the 5.11 belts. One he bought wasn’t reinforced. Maybe they have reinforced ones. Lots of options shop around. Just don’t spend $100 or more or something that can be had for about half the price.

+1 for blue alpha gear. Their belts are super high quality, and their customer service is second to none. If I had to spend more money to buy their product over a competitor's, I would. They are top notch. I wear their hybrid belt daily and have for almost 2 years now. It is still just as stiff as the day I got it.
