Love me some BA. Have them on my last 2 builds.
Yeah I realized after my post I can just get the A2 separately. Just thought I’d save a step and cost of pinning at the smith. Pros/Cons for getting it pinned?

More so wondering if folks have a couple fav websites they recommend for getting best price/variety on AR parts...?

Why do you need to the the A2 pinned at all. Torqued down with q crush washer has been working just fine for many for a very long time. Plus if you ever wanna change to a different muzzle device it's much easier to change if not pinned. I find alot of things in the ee @ ar15.com. most if it is new bc people change their minds on builds all the time.
Last 2 barrels I got I found at spicetac.com and granite ridge outfitters bc they were the cheapest.

I believe he was talking about a pinned A2 FSB, not a pinned birdcage.

Ahh that makes more sense. I have always built mine with long rails and gas blocks so my mind never even considered the A2 FSB. My bad.

We payed $430 two months ago. Took the wife shopping for her birthday, and that's what she ended up getting. She has never been very good at shooting rifles without a rest because they are all too heavy and most are too long for her. The Sub2000 is perfect for her.

Just an FYI for any new gun owners: don't ND through the floor of your second story apartment. People like me live on the first floor, and don't appreciate having holes punched in your ceiling by a 9mm hollowpoint.

Dude's lucky I didn't immediately call the police. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, so i'll settle for the hole being patched and no more random slugs through my ceiling.

I've been using my quarantine down time to finally mill some of these bad boys out.

He didn't have one, which is honestly part of the reason I didnt get the fuzz involved. He immediately came to make sure we were alright, even offered to clean up the dust lol. At this point I'm content to let it be between him and the complex. They'll almost certainly evict him for this, I don't see any reason to make it go further.
