With being stuck inside and no access to the range now, I sure appreciate those lazer training bullets now. Pretty hand to practice inside and drawing safetly.

I just stopped in the local gun store for the first time in about 4-5 weeks, my goodness! He don't have many guns, sign up that says "limit one box ammo" good luck with that unless your shooting an odd caliber rifle. I didn't need anything, just wanted to make sure the panic had set in here too. Carry on hoarders, carry on.

Honestly don’t think the hoarders are the problem

The problem is that all the people who were never gun people who decided they’re gun people ran out and bought something

300% increase in the month of March in Firearms sales and I can confirm in my store that we’ve tripled our sales in a single month and the vast majority are new owners who run out and buy a gun and a couple of boxes of ammo

Any industry would have their supply chain severely affected by an overnight increase of 300%

I get it, our convenience store is suffering from the same panic people.

I read an article about that with toilet paper. Sure there are some hoarders, but really it's the supply chain getting stressed. TP can be split into consumer and commercial, and with everyone staying home, there's a large increase in a need for consumer TP. I thought that was interesting.

The TP hoarding started way before SIP. Dumbasses that bought carts full of TP is the problem not the fact we are stuck at home.

We finally just got some TP in stock at our store today for the first time in almost a month. Haven't been able to find any anywhere to resale. Our supplier limited us on what we could purchase. Sold all our paper towels to one guy yesterday.

Were it not for the fact that places like Grainger are backordered on TP through August, I'd believe it. We've had to go direct to a manufacturer to ensure we would get TP at work, and we're not a small facility.

<- preordered an extra case for delivery .. so part of the problem.

    :p

That said, wife has approved the laser trainer as a good use of our relief money.

Can attest. I went to a shop today to pick up a custom 22 that I found. Guy next to me in line had never owned a gun. The guy in the store was showing him how to use it, load charge, unload. I felt like I should grab this grown ass man by the shoulders and tell him rules that must always be obeyed. I can absolutely see some of these new owners racking the slide, dropping the mag and thinking they are safe.

Hey @JimBeam if you are ok with sharing your store name/location I’d love to visit if I’m ever in the area, or at least send my long-distance friends there if you’re not close by...

They will be like most "I have a gun" owners. It will sit in a closet, they will pull it out and clean it when neither the kids or momma are home, and they will never ever take to time to learn how to use it, much less develop any proficiency with it.

Sadly most of the new firearm owners will do this. Although around Christmas time I’m going to frequent pawnshops looking to buy their “used” Firearms

I am stock piling cold hard cash, cause I don't think it will take till Christmas.

A lot of these new owners are going to be ordered by the wife to "get that thing outta my house " shortly after this is all over.
Most will be unfired, come with ammo and be a true bargain.

I ask santa for a ruger sr22 but I guess he forgot. Went to look for one and found this instead. It’ll go good with the M&P shield and M&P compact 9mm.
