Why not just carry the full size then?

You're in full size territory with that extension.

The only right answer is the one that you’ll go out and train with. The M&P and Glock are both great platforms, but they both fall into either the love or hate category.

If you can, try and visit a range that allows for you to rent/test fire both of them. If not, buy em used and see what works best for you and the way you dress. This would save you some money in the long run vs buying new and deciding you don’t like it and either never shooting it (or worse, carrying it but never training with it).

When it comes to holsters, they are both popular models for carry so you have plenty of options.

Personally I went with the G19 because I’ve used/carried/competed with a Glock for over 13 years now. I’ve also carried HKs and Springfields as well, but eventually just got rid of em and kept my G19 and G17.

End of the day, there is no right or wrong answer between em. The only right answer is the one you consistently train with and the only way you’ll find yourself reaching for it at each range trip, is if it’s something you enjoy to shoot.

Definitely not, I'll just take all that stuff off your hands for you so you don't need to worry about getting rid of it yourself...

For real, I'm interested in that grip if you want it gone. I'm in need of some mil-spec lower furniture. I don't suppose you've got a GI trigger guard laying around either, do you?

Shield is cheaper and easier to carry, G19 is more versatile. If used only for CCW, Shield.

I'll say this, chose the one you enjoy shooting more (Translation: Go shoot them, back to back). What you enjoy shooting with, you'll practice with and what you practice with you will be better with.

As a 3rd suggestion, the G43x and G48 with an S15 mag is the current king of fitting as many rounds as possible in a small space.

True. Got other parts for those.

Id like to get rid of it all, as a package deal.
No idea of what this stuff would be worth either.

I know I can fit it all in a small flat rate box though.

Messed with the Sig a bit last night. Swapped out the factory flat trigger guard for a oversized BCM one. Factory one would occasionally pinch my finger, this BCM gives me much more room. Also adjusted the 2 stage trigger a bit.

Yea, the panhandle would work too. Beachfront.

    Luckily I'm not very political.

In the first part you described most of what I deal with.

    :D

    No no no!

Hmmmm, not many beaches, some snow, what about guns and hippy lettuce? :anonymous:

As sugar coated as you make it sound, we also suffer from serious congestion on the roads, oppressive heat/humidity, winter sports sometimes (then commutes become downright stupid), no hippy lettuce (unless you're a criminal), no carry (unless you're a criminal), rampant poverty/crime (Baltimore City makes Detroit look like Disney World), an occasional hurricane or tornado (nothing close to the magnitude of southern/western states, but neither are minor events when they occur here), and then there's my favorite, taxes.

At least in Florida during a recent trip, as hot/humid as it was (for early October), no matter how bad the day was, the very end of the day made you quickly forget......

It was one of the best week long vacations we've been on.

No Beaches, Lots of snow. Tons of guns, were #6 on most guns per capita. That we report at least. Last year I bought an AR behind Target while my wife was inside shopping. We got medical but recreational will be here in a couple years I bet.

I have both and like both. While I think the shield carries better I like the feel of the glock in my hand. I'm not a big guy, 5'6 and even the Shield Feels small in my hand. It completely depends on your preference. They both have their advantages.

Quite a few states have no waiting period for private party transfers, mine included.
We also have a waive of the NICS check if you have a current concealed carry permit.
Oddly enough though I still have to do the NICS check even though I have Police ID and no state carry permit.

This is true for us as well. One day on our lunchbreak one coworker said he was going to buy a pistol and another said he was going to McDonalds. The one buying the gun came back to the shop pistol in hand (not literally but you get it) 2 minutes before the one with McDonalds lol.

It should be easy to get a carry permit with a police ID. Not knowing your state laws, carry permits are very functional IDs, as good if not better then a drivers license. Well, it won’t allow you to drive a car. :)
