I occasionally but firelogs to supplement my wood supply. Discovered a brand that's new to me:

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I bought 2 pallets a few years back. It was the winter the outside wood was buried under about 2' of snow.

They worked fine to start the fire and blend with the wood. A few different companies make them.

I have no clue the cost now.

Yep I use them along with the wood. I guess the Tacoma brand has been out for a while. Good to have on hand if the wood supply is wet or not accessible. Certainly more expensive than wood, the Redstone brand I bought last night were $3.99 for a package of 6 bricks. Not really unreasonable, and you don't have to worry if they're seasoned. Still worth buying some IMO.

Almost didn't start the woodstove tonight, it was like 58º today, almost unheard of this time of year in New England.

I saw these in, of all places, Winco Foods yesterday!

And I've seen firebricks in a Big Y - a grocery store around here! Loaded up the shopping cart with many a few years ago, surprised the thing didn't bend from the weight. They kept them outside though - inspected them to make sure they were dry.

I use them on everything from damp campfires to my charcoal smoker.

I usually have those on hand too. I used to subscribe to a 6 day a week newspaper and use it to start fires. Don't at this time - have some leftover but these I find to be a good alternative.
