Do you have photo of this bumper? I've scrolled through the last 6 pages of your build and I can't find it.

thanks... yea i'm trying to work out the latching mechanism now..

i used to have the tire gate but hated opening and closing it due to the pins they use to hold it shut.. was really a PITA.

Always cool to see your latest creations.

You gonna mount the rear license plate to the carrier or someplace else so you can run without it if the urge hits?

figured i'd update this.. been fooling around with my tire carrier a little each evening.. got most all of it tacked together. just have to finish welding and then figure out the latches. i went with a totally different approach from others. first off i used square tubing instead of round and also took a totally different approach to holding the tire down. also instead of using pins to hold it shut i'm gonna utilize latches just like the tailgate so you can just swing it shut. that was the one complaint i had about the tire gate i had was it was a pain to put the pins back in. basically i just wanted to be different from others.... :D

i was test fitting to make sure it would still work with my bike mount....

thanks! i've got the general idea figured out in my head... just have to actually start making the bracket to hold them.. if you look close in the pic you can see the catch part already mounted on the upright on the drivers side.... actually the biggest part that has me stumped at the moment is the handle to release them..

the main point in trying the new latch idea was i wanted to be able to just swing it shut like a door and it latch itself.. hopefully it will work out like i have it planned which will be awesome!
