Today I went to Firestone Complete Auto Care to get my tires balanced and an alignment done (I have the lifetime alignment). I did ask for 2 Caster, 0 Camber, and 0 Toe, which has been done before at this location. I will admit that I did tell them I needed to go when the job was coming up on it's 4th hour, and told them to get it in a drivable condition. Told them that it is ok if it drifts a little, since it was doing it before. They finished and told me they were able to get the numbers in spec. Started driving it and the steering wheel was off center and drifted more than before.

Overall, after 3 hours or so, they could not get my alignment done properly, broke a cam tab, and scored up my UCA hiems and adjustment collars. They claimed the passenger side cam tab was broken by the suspension installer (it was installed a few years ago, but metal where the tab was is fresh and I know it was there before). I'm going to contact them tomorrow and see what they can do to fix what they have done.

Good news. Firestone is having the damages to the UCA fixed by a local Toyota dealership with an alignment. The Firestone manager did admit they did not use the proper tools to make the adjustments.

Looking at old photos, the cam tab was bent over by the cam bolt in August 2014, by the same Firestone, and I did not notice it. They did try to adjust it Saturday, even though they claimed they did not. So that is a lost cause and I am just paying for that fix out of my own pocket.
