It's funny, my current 265/75/16 Wildpeaks are SL load and are still heavier than these.

I had these for a few months and traded them in for KO2s. They had weak grip on Colorado mountain passes, but the final straw was 2 of them debeaded after going through a mud hole at 15 psi.

Edit: Also I think they have a thinner or weaker sidewall which is why they're so much lighter than other tires in E range.

I've had Firestone tires for years. Have had really good wear with them and got tons of miles out of the Destinations. Saying that, i have also cut the sidewalls on 4 of them wheeling. They are a pos when it comes to anything touching the sidewalls on them.

LT265/75r16, they were great otherwise but I love and see the hype on the KO2s now.

Nice. I don't really do any sort of aggressive off roading, just fire roads and I use my truck for work. They might work for me

I don't do anything aggressive either. They just disappointed me on Imogene Pass which really is just a fire road. I hate mud so I had to drive through that mud hole to avoid a fallen tree. I mainly stick to forest roads and I didn't feel comfortable in these tires long term at low PSIs.

Maybe I’ll check out the Cooper ATP LTs instead. Just missed the @Discount Tire sale on them:(

That’s what got my stock wranglers. These are supposed to be more durable on the walls, hopefully that proves to be right.

Got another 1500km on these since last update. Can now confirm fuel economy with the XT's. Basically no significant difference. Looking at my fuel up data and correcting for larger diameter I could maybe argue 0.2-0.5L/100km loss but even that's in the noise of weather, wind and trip variability.

Noise wise the whirring of the fresh sharp tread edges has lessened some as well. Running 37psi all-around

Considering these tires in 255/75/17. Anyone have updates of how these tires performed for you?

I'm running the same size (see my earlier posts), just had them off road for the first time @20psi (3+ trail) and they did great! Fantastic traction all around on dusty and wet rocks and roots as well as some mud holes with firm bottom.

Thanks for the info. Anyone know what country these are made in? Should say on the tire sidewall

Is there an optimum PSI for these tires that you recommend for a Double Cab Short bed Tacoma, no extra weight? They are also 10ply rated.

    Hi everyone!

I have been using 265/75/16 Falken Wild Peak AT3Ws for awhile now. I’ve honestly been excited to move over to Firestone ATs for some time, but I kept hitting nails and either getting free replacements or have only needed (1) tire at a time, so just kept getting more Wild Peaks to match up.

I finally got a nail in a pretty low tread rear tire and had my opposite rear pretty bald, so I went shopping and found that Firestone discontinued the Destination AT and released the Destination AT3 and the Destination XT. I picked up (2) 265/75/16 Firestone Destination XT tires and put them on my rear and left the good Wild Peaks on the front (Fronts still lookin good on life for now) and I love these Firestone Destination XTs!!

In summary, I think the Firestone Destination XT looks similar, but better than the Falken Wild Peak AT3W. I have not been off-road yet, but the XT is more comfortable on road than the Wild Peak and I swear there is LESS noise, not that either seems overly noisy.

We will see how they do in some Texas fields, but I don’t see myself going back to Wild Peaks and am eager to get XTs on all (4) wheels.

I've run 235/85/16 on a first gen tacoma and now 255/75/17 on a second gen, been great tires on both. I run them all year, they do well in snow and they have very soft rubber. Much quieter then previous duratracs and toyo m55.
Decent so far in mud aswell as long as they spin a bit to clean out.

    No flats yet..

Anymore updates on these? They really have peaked my interest as I seen them on a truck yesterday and they look good in person. The weight of them is so much lighter than any other tire in a E rated tire I’ve seen. Way lighter.
