im having my suspension lifted this weekend and put on size 33 tires. Now i need an alignment. Lifetime alignment with firestone is very enticing. Any experience with them? Would you guys recommend them?

I’ve heard some of the Firestone’s won’t do it cause of the lift others will it’s hit or miss

I have it. I recommend it. Not much experience though.
I heard they are "toe and go". So no camber. My first alignment wasn't that great.
Then I went to a local firestone guy that "has a tacoma" and he dialed it in.
Honestly, theres not much to it. If you got and you don't like the numbers, go to another one and show them the numbers don't satisfy you. They will do it again.
Then go to another one etc. That's what I'd do.

Depends on the location, do research on the one(s) you plan on going to. Many people have had bad luck with Firestone. Yeah technically their "policy" is that they can refuse to work on any modified suspension & will only align with manufacturer's specs as in no custom alignment specs. It really depends on the store manager though.

The one I go to has been great. Manager is cool & the techs know what they're doing. I have had no problems with them getting my alignment on point, including caster & camber. Lazy or inexperienced techs try to avoid adjusting caster & camber.

I spoke to the guy at the firestone shop and he said they have done lifted trucks with 33 tires before.

My local firestone’s tech owns a lifted tacoma and he knows about the tacomas different aftermarket UCA’s. He was able to get the specs i wanted perfectly.

Tire size doesnt have a single thing to do with alignment.

As others have said, if you have a firestone close by that’ll work with your prefernaces and your truck, is go for it.
I have and it’s more than paid for itself for me.

I have it, I got 4 alignments in one month.. I go a little fast through the desert and fk up my alignment constantly

Depends on lift and parts, i ask for 3+ caster & -1d camber & the remainder to follow spec

firestone alignments are hit or miss, i have 8 in my area so i got to test most of them out. Some of the techs are lazy, get grease all over your interior, and some know what they are doing. All of my cars have it now

I routinely go to the one closest to work as they have aligned my truck many times before and the tech actually spends the hours to dial it in the way i request it.

I usually have them zero it out and get the caster to +3.5 for my truck. Can take anywhere between 30 to 2 hours depending how badly i knocked it out of spec.

Most Firestone mechanics are newbs. I’m not saying anything bad about them, just make sure you get a senior mechanic if there is one available.

I've been going to the same Firestone for a little over 10 years now. The same two guys have ran it the entire time and I have nothing but respect for them.

It's not about Firestone, but the guy who runs it and the people who work for him.
If the place has the same owner and techs, year after year, it's probably a good shop.

Dealership service depts. in my area are a revolving door - techs come and go with the wind. Independent repair shops tend to keep techs longer.

I know this is old but....
If you get it through Firestone you can also go to tires plus and vice versa, they are owned by the same company and honor the program.

Firestone has been good for me, I think I've gotten 3 or 4 alignments so far, stock and lifted, across 2 different Tacomas for the cost of one liftime alignment.
