Guys just wanted to let you know.....
There is a problem with the F2407 kit for the Tacoma.

They have no clue that there are 3 spring packs and 4 spring packs. The problem comes with the bottom bracket and how it is not touching the axle. If you have 3 springs then you are fine, they built the kit for that.
If you have 4 spring pack then the plate is lifted the thickness of the spring, about 3/8" or so. When the plate is lifted, the pad or foot will not contact the axle. The plate will bend as the bag is about 50% on that foot that should contact the axle. This will cause a problem with the bag and how it lines up.

As I said, I talked to them, they still think there is no difference in the mid 2005 to 2013 in how it should fit.
I then got up with a higher up in CS for them that would look into it.
She was nice and wanted to help and work out the problem.

The others really did not care. They told me to call who I ordered it from and they should be able to get me a bracket to add for lifted trucks.
They sell for 35$ each 2 needed, and need to drill 4 holes...

Mind you this is a no drill kit, made to fit a 2012 Toy Tacoma. Per their web site.

If you have the air bags, and on a truck with 4 spring pack, you may want to look at the contact at the axle, it may be bent down.

It the fit is not 100% you will not have warranty.

I had Ride Rites on my 2005 Tacoma and it totally solved the bottoming-out ('harsh ride') of the read suspension with any load in the truck, or with back seat passengers.

Since you had the TSB done to make it a four leaf spring (or it came that way already), why did you still want to add Ride Rites? Just curious...

    ..

Towing a trailer is was hitting the bumstops all the time, and if the back was loaded with hunting or camping gear, then add the wife, and 2 dogs, it would hit a lot...

Along with the headlights being way high and everyone flashing there lights plus gettin pulled for the lights, only to have them say sorry and let me go seeing it was the trailer or load.

Was that before or after the four leaf spring was installed? The four leaf TSB was supposed to remedy the 'harsh ride'.

My 2010 had a 3 leaf (like my 2005), but the truck doesn't bottom out with them, so better springs on my second double cab, yet they are still offering TSBs for harsh ride syndrome. I kept my Ride Rites, from my 2005 just in case I would need them on the 2010.

Mine was not a TSB the 2012 had the 4 pack.
It rides great, but when you add a load or trailer, the ride was good, just dropped to much making it close to the bump stops. Then every time you hit a bump it would bottom out hard. Spring rate was good for the ride, just not enough movement in the range of the axle before you hit the bumpstops.

I think the wifes truck, 2011, with the 3 pack hauls more with less sag them mine with the 4.
Not sure what they did with the springs, if they used the same springs and added one extra or made them all lighter adding the 4th and having the same spring rate.

It would be nice to know what the spring rate is on the 2011 3 pack and 2012 4 pack. Also if the TSB springs are the same as the 2012 4 pack springs.

I have a TW scale, a very nice one at that.
The weight runs at 250-300# TW on my ATV trailer, 275# when I carried it to Toyota for the rear sag on the 2012. They told me the truck was over loaded.
I had 100# of corn and some hunting cloths in the back of the truck.

I installed the ride rite 2407 kit on my '06 when it had the 3 leaf spring packs. Then I installed 4 leaf packs after I broke a leaf, so I know exactly what you are referring to. With the 3 leaf packs, that tab was actually too tight against the axle, and bent the plate upward a bit when the clamp bolts were tightened. When I installed the 4 leaf packs, I just bent the plate / tab downward about the same amount, so it contacted the axle. No biggie IMHO. Once you get them installed, you are gonna love them.
