Hello all. I have a 2014 Tacoma PreRunner Access Cab. Just below the main wiring harness that goes through the firewall grommet there is a small nipple (see picture). I am 95% sure that this is to run auxiliary wiring through the firewall grommet but that 5% is holding be back from cutting it off. Can anybody tell me for sure that this is to run wire through? Thanks for your time.

Not sure if that was the intention from toyota, but that is what a lot of us used to run wires through the firewall by cutting the tip of the nipple only.

Second that. I ran my Aux lights control (from relay through to the switch) that way.

Ran the wires for my fog lights through this, too.

Hey quick question, I have previously used this nipple to run coax through. I think I am gonna go a different route, but is there anything I should do with the cut hole to cover it up? Is there any risk if I just leave it?
