Yeah especially with how much I am cutting off. That’s going to be a pain to cut pieces to fit.

Might just hack the center out and then figure out how to reattach the front core support. It’s hard to visualize with everything in the way.

Depends on who you ask and what their opinion or definition of "clearance" is. The different suspension setups also really come into play too.

Lots of guys put on 35s, limit their up travel, and still rub but will tell you they clear without issues.

I know this thread is dead but what size lift did you run for needing to tub with 35s?

@WormSquirts is right, lift does not matter. What matters is what you do off road. Almost every tire size will rub once you leave the pavement and get into any decent flex.

Technically not tubbing but I got wheel well part done today. Turned out pretty good. Only thing left is mounting the air box and ps reservoir for tomorrow. Then it’s firewall time. :sawzall:

Nope. I built them out square tubing and aluminum plate. I think these have a little more clearance than JDs but not as much coverage into the engine bay.

Thanks! Other than the exterior bolts anything bolted to the inside is hidden via nutserts so it’s a little cleaner.

How hard was the install? Also are those 35s or 37s?

Depends on how comfortable you are with cutting up your truck and some fab work. They are 315/70/17. Supposed to be a 35" but probably measure 34.5" once mounted.

A pic of clearance at full bump & lock to keep it relevant to the thread.

Sure added some clearance. Any welding? I recall that on their website it's bolt on but would assume it requires some extra work.

Especially considering I would stuff my tire into the wheel well before. Yes, there is some welding required. Not a ton but it’s needed.

Holy hell. What did you guys do with this insulation? It’s almost impossible to cut. Definitely impossible to tear. It goes way up into the dash too. So I’d have to remove the entire dash to get rid of it.

That cut I did was like 20 passes with a super sharp Gerber knife. Still had to tear it. Of course my cut is right at the spot I need to cut metal. Which the frayed part is even more flammable.:bananadead:

Mine has three layers. The first flopped. This stuff is super solid. Would barely bend at all.
