I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
I just bout a 2022 model a couple months ago, and I've been bombarded with Toyota ads on Facebook ever since.

I just saw my first ad for the 4th Gens! I'm curious to see how they look in person.

No clue! I ordered my '09 in September of '08, and didn't get it until early December. Though I could have had it sooner, if I was willing to settle for white.

I personally don't like buying the first year of a new model, so I won't be finding out.

I'd wait atleast 3 years on this one, all new model and who knows how difficult it will be to get one. I'm expecting production and delivery shenanigans in 24, that might not have nothing to do with Toyota.

I guess I can't afford it, because I'd like to know how much it costs before ordering it.

    As opposed to?

Hybrid vehicles are gas too though...

I thought I heard that the hybrids weren't going to be available until the following spring anyways, like the Tundra launch. I could be mixing stuff up though. That's why I was surprised the order sheet ad had to specify like it did.

I clicked it after I posted, and it still took me to the 2023 order page. The website must not be synchronized with the Facebook advertisements yet.

If hindsight is our guide, a 2015 Tacoma might’ve been a better choice when the very first ‘16’s rolled out, and many argue that the Tundra is just now working through its initial teething phase.

I know it’s more productive to complain about the weather, but I truly hope that the more enthusiastic element represented on the Gen4 threads don’t blindly jump on waiting lists and hand over their paychecks to dealers & distributors. Those same dealers who are not even done ripping off Gen3 buyers are eagerly counting the minutes until Gen4 touches down.

It’s really hard to fathom a better situation than now to use patience. You’ll get a better & cheaper Tacoma in a couple years. Just look at Tundra prices this week.

Local Ad by a Calgary dealer to get your name and contact info so they can bug you about paying more than you want to pay and wait longer than you want to wait.

i know someone who paid 10k over for the Tundra TRD PRO. sooo good luck cuz people will pay ridiculous prices to have it first. That truck is now traded for a 4runner pro. LOL

I went into the OP's dealership, referred by this thread (Calgary, Canada)

    Yes, they are accepting "orders".

(unrelated to this and as per multiple other threads - "orders" mean nothing, they will get an allocation like everyone else I assume)

No prices were provided, but he'll email as soon as available. Probably when everyone else will know.
Deposit required. I would assume refundable, but I didn't push much further since I'm not leaving a deposit on a vehicle that I don't even know the price of.

    Guy was nice though :)

I have no idea why someone would be so desperate to give a deposit to a dealer with no actual pricing and actual date of delivery for a first generation vehicle.

And, you’re paying to get on a list to overpay for something so you can show everyone your first.

    No

You're welcome to your opinion, but there are plenty of folks willing to go that route. While I haven't put a deposit down on a Gen4 Tacoma, I have put a deposit down on a GR Corolla Circuit; can't wait to get it, errr, if I get it.

Yup, I suppose I may just have to look for a cherry S2000 and be happy with that. :)
