I have been eyeing these and similar kits for a while now. As cool (hard case) and convenient as they are.. they are just pricey. That, and they dont seem to have all the stuff i want. Im thinkin I might just build my own.. idk.

I'm in the same boat.

 

I have a bunch of Kits here at work, with basic stuff (more basic than the kits here).. but have a LOT of it. i just need to see whats in there and go from that.

 

X2 even with a discount they still are pricey for what they have medical wise.

My kit is just about equivalent to the Outback (some ways better, some ways not as good, but about 85% overlap). Mine started out as an older version of this kit: https://www.amazon.com/Adventure-Me...ef=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1 which sells on Amazon for $170, but lists for $200. I've added about $50 worth of supplies over time. So we are at about $220 just for the supplies without the hard case (at least in my personal example, anyway, this is just a rough approximation).

I want a hard case because I want to mount it in my bed and I want to add a few items but my soft case is about to burst. I have a topper, but that doesn't keep out the dust, so a sealed hard case seemed prudent. I'm looking at Pelican cases and it looks like it will be about $70 for what I want. So the total equivalent price would be about on par with the discounted price we are looking at.

I like some of the features of these Outerlimit Supply kits. If I didn't already have something equivalent, I would be all over that Outback kit.

I might still cave. That mount is sweet and would save me from having to fab something. I wish they sold the cases by themselves.
