Just keep throwin' money at it.
x2, I bought replacement hi-angle CVs from them for my 1st gen. Very solidly built. Also, the high angle boots rub less and are thicker than OEM.

I haven't had to replace one on a second gen yet (knock on wood) but on a first gen Taco the 36" harbor freight pry bar ( ) works like a charm to pop off the dust cover and pop the CV out of the trans axle. Worth the less than $20 for sure.

Hey all - took my truck for a pre cross country trip check today and have a small tear in my inner passenger CV boot. They have no time to replace before I leave on a cross country trip next week and i can't get to it myself with no tools here. I don't plan on doing any off roading just the national parks for a total of maybe 4K-5K miles. Thoughts on if this can wait until I get back to Boston or if I should postpone the trip until I can get it replaced?

    Thanks
