Today was the 1st visit to the local dealership. In for it's 15k Toyota care check up. Prior to today I could not find any service records in the car fax or my toyota account that indicated any service had ever been performed.

To my pleasant surprise I discovered the 5 and 10K Toyota care services had been performed before the 1st owner traded it in.

I'm surprised I did not see that information about the vehicle prior to taking it to the dealer.

Over all it was a very good experience. The dealer did what they were supposed to and also flashed the TSB for the gear hunting.

One thing I noticed is that the oil change would have been $59 however 15K does not get that oil change so in the future if that is the price for an oil change I will continue taking it to the dealer.

Check out toyota.com/owners and enter your VIN. Any service history should show up.

Wow, your dealer sounds like a good one. Cherish them forever. Seriously.

59 isn't bad, the one near me is usually 100

So that was the credit on the invoice... because it didn't need it, I'm suspecting there will be other miscellaneous charges on top of that making it somewhere in the 70 to $80 range out the door when actually performed.. But even at that price it may be worth it just for peace of mind and having it on the service record.
