I have a 2.5 inch lift with bilsteins and a 1.5" aal. I currently have 33x12.50x15 bfg k02s but I'm thinking they are a little too big for my liking due to rubbing and power loss (i have a 4cyl). I was thinking about putting my stock rims(16") and stock tires(265/70r16) back on and sell my new stuff (pro comp series 52 rock crawer 15x8 black steel wheels). Would it look really goofy because i caught a glimpse of mine at the mechanic shop before he added the big tires and it didnt look too bad. And i would plan on getting a little larger than stock tires once i sold my newest ones.

So please post pictures of your first gen with 2.5/3" lift and 31"/265 tires. Thanks

I also stepped down from 33s so the 31s were a big improvement in power. I have a v6 but I think the 31s are just about perfect with the factory gears that I have because I have no problems cruising at 75-90 on the highway but mountain passes are a bit of a struggle. Overall I like how the truck handles. I have a stiffer suspension setup with poly bushings everywhere (including the steering rack) and it is incredibly responsive for a truck.

I just dont really like the amount of power i loss because i kinda struggle up moderate hills at like 55/60 when i used to go 70-80 up them with ease in 4th or 5th gear

Here was my Truck with 3" Eibach coils & adjustable 5100's and regular 5100's w/ a ToyTec 1.5" AAL. First picture is w/265/70/16's and the 2nd picture is w/ 265/75/16's. I have an Icon set up front & rear now. But for the price, you can't beat the Bilstein combo. I forgot to mention I've had Camburg UCA's throughout the Bilstein lift & my new Icon lift.

Here's my old flame with an OME 2.5" lift. Top is 265/70, bottom is just a little bigger with 265/75s

I did at the time. The Eibach coils were a little stiff of a ride though! My new Icon set up is a night & day difference. I have Icon 2.5 ext trvl coil overs in the front and Icon 2.0 smooth body rear shocks. Same AAL in the rear though.

Yeah I'm fine with the tires. These are the ones I have now. 265/75/16 BFG KO2's.

I have 33x12.50 KO2s but i feel they are really bulky and heavy for my truck

No issues at all, it was a great setup with the 265/75s.

I'm really thinking about going that route because the 33s look great but they cause a lot of mechanical issues.

according to the door sticker I should have 3.91s but after looking at my highway rpms and checking a gear ratio calculator I think I have 4.10s as well

Another thing i wanna know is... Has anyone else ever regretted getting 33x12.50s or 285/75s? Or is it just me?

No lift at the moment - slight rubbing on the mud flaps, will be removing them)
(headlights will be retrofitted and the chrome painted around the holidays :drunk:)
