They are not brighter then stock. They just look brighter because of the color temp.
I am pretty dissapointed with them

They are definitely brighter for me. Light is thrown much farther out and makes it easier to see. You seem to be the only one that is not happy with them?

Maybe my truck had some sort of aftermarket incan bulb. Who knows.
I think I am spoiled by lightbars.

First of all, for me it's just a reverse light bulb, so it's not that big of a deal.

Secondly, it seems like I don't drive at night anymore, so I truly haven't tested these out backing up in the dark.

That said, just doing the "eye" test in my garage before and after the swap, they appear to be much brighter. Whether or not that is due to the color temp (which is vastly different) or not, I have no idea. I just know that when I had the incandescents in there, the light output was dim and barely lit up my driveway from my garage. When I put in the the LEDs, the light output was vastly brighter, whiter and was lighting up my neighbor's house across the street.

    :notsure:

I can see more for $9.00. Works for me. Is it the same as LED or HID driving lights set up on the rear, bumper? No, but a hell of a lot cheaper.

i guess for some reason i was expecting more. I think all the work i have been doing with XLM2s has skewed my perception of leds.
