Can anyone recommend a superior carpet kit for a first-gen extended cab?

    Thanks

Stockinteriors will send you samples of the carpets. I think they’re who supplies rockauto. I had to order a few greys to find the right match for mine. Still need to actually order so I can’t attest to quality, though

Got mine from stockinteriors. Looks great but was a huge pain in the ass to cut all the holes and trim the excess. Lots of cussing and cut up fingers

another vote for stockinteriors. As mentioned before it can be difficult to install but if you use some of the following unsolicted advice it will go in pretty easy.

allow your self a minimum of 4 hours.
put the new carpet in the sun and let it heat up... it molds into place much easier.

it comes with padding already in certain places. I prefer to install jute padding over the entire floor I use Super 77 spray adhesive. It is quiter and cooler.

Have lots of new single edge razor blades. As soon as the cutting resistance starts to increase flip it around or throw it out. It is when is catches and you continue to pull is when you cut yourself.

have a sharp awl/ice pick handy. most of the bolt holes are accessable from underneath so you can find the seat mount bolts with not too much difficulty.

the center console is going to be the problem as getting the hole cut and sliding in under the center of the dash and getting it to fit without wrinkles or overcuts can present problems... use the old carpet as a pattern and you can leave some extra carpet for final fitting.

if the expansion lugs for the door sills are shot auto parts stores sell square expansion plugs... cut the remainder of the broken plastic off the botton of the sill plate and just put the screw back in.

VERIFY that when you push the accerator pedal to the floor that is doesnt get held there or your first trip to show off you new carpet could get VERY exciting.

    have patience.
