Thanks for the compliments guys. Everything looks good from 20' right! It's not quite as impressive in person, as a perfectionist I see a fly caught in the clear, the bondo has sucked up in a couple places now that it's gone through a few heat cycles, and the bottom corner of the fender flares (painted at the same time) didn't quite get enough red to cover the (black) sealer. But yeah, overall, I am more than satisfied. As a self-taught welder, I like working with steel, not afraid of trying different things there. And I have spread bondo and painted before, but defintely not a professional, maybe it was because I slept at a Holiday Inn Express the night before:D.

Just like doing things myself I guess...

Wonder why Toyota never put a scoop on the 1st gen Tacomas? They had them on the '99 4Runners, and they seem to be on a lot of Toyota models these days???

I'm with you. My wife gets turned on by big hood scoops. You know how close we came to getting a Subaru just because it had an "awesome" scoop?!

So what aftermarket is making these?

Here is the only company that I ever came accross as making the whole hood outta fiber glass..

Not nearly as nice as a complete sheet metal hood as above.

I'm surprised the scoop wasn't factory. The 4runner (yes I had one) is way too soccer mom to have a scoop. I'll keep an eye out in junkyards...
