First Gen Tacoma Harness Repair Connectors & Terminal Pin Out

I'm a parts guy for a heavy truck shop and it seems lately all I'm doing is chasing wiring issues and it spilled over personally trying to come up with a repair pigtail for the chassis harness wire going to the license plate lamp right angle socket for the step bumper license lamp. I found out that Toyota does not do pigtails you have to assemble a repair pigtail out of a connector, terminal pins, seals, and wedge locks as required.

There was some question concerning this and John (a really good parts guy) at Toyota of McDonough (Georgia) sent me a harness pinout PDF files covering my 1999 Tacoma; I suspect much of this is applicable to all 1st gens. There are 2 PDF's the 1st one lists the terminal connector by description (i.e. license lamp connector). Take your connector # to the 2nd PDF and it will give you the terminals to complete it
