Just wait until you get hit by an uninsured motorist and then oops - you don't have the extra insurance to cover when and uninsured motorists hits you. Insurance is such a load of crap as well. Every one of them doesn't want to pay when something happens or you get situations like this. I too worry if some idiot ran into my old pickup. Would be a sad day and hopefully I could fix it.

 

Let's hope things like this help Toyota see the value in keeping OEM Gen 1 parts in production!
