Has anyone found anywhere to get the 4 prong throttle position sensor anywhere?

    MY ISSUES
I've been noticing some hesitation with a steady food on the accelerator with medium engine braking downhill, no matter what gear I am in and most noticeable in low range.
This happens to my truck both around 2100 RPM and 3200 RPM.

    DETAILS / RESEARCH
I've read through every thread on here going back to 2013, so here's the summary:

With the iECTS 5VZ engines (September 2002 through 2004 Tacoma), the sensor on the opposite side of the throttle body (Accelerator pedal position sensor) is calibrated with the TPS, therefore Toyota will not sell one sensor separate of the other.

    SOLUTIONS
Option 1: Most expensive, but "guaranteed" to work properly
For the September 2002-2004 V6 Tacoma with the iECTS, Toyota will only sell the entire throttle body (Part Number: 22030-62020 - "BODY ASSY, THROTTLE W/MOTOR"). Best price online I have found is about $650.

Option 2: Used parts - gamble if it works properly
Your other options are to find a used TPS off of one of the following vehicles with the 5VZ V6 engine:
    • 2001-2002 4Runner
    • 2003-2004 Tundra
    • (September) 2002-2004 Tacoma
Reports from users on here claim that this works without being calibrated to the Accelerator pedal position sensor.

    Option 3: Potential Non-OEM part
Another option is to try to see if CarQuest will still sell you a compatible 4-pin one. This post is from December 2013:

Just curious any chance this is caused from the butterfly having a gap inside the throttle body wall?
Below would be considered no gap after I have my throttle body bored with a new butterfly.
