I just wanted to tell people my initial impression of my new lift. I drive an 02 tacoma double cab prerunner with the 2.7l engine. As of right now I have less than 100 miles on the new set up. I am coming from a bilstein 5100 lift in which I had the stock coils set on 2.5" of lift. Many people have made comments on how rough the ride is with this set up but I thought it was much better than stock.
At the same time that I had the OME 881 installed I also replaced my outer tie rods, steering rack bushings, and lower ball joints. I also replaced the bilstein 5100's with the nitrocharger shocks and also placed the 1/4" top plate spacer on while I was at it. My initial impressions are that the ride is very controlled and firm. It's a little rough at slower speeds on city streets but handles nicely when speed picks up and the roads get a little rough. As of yet I have no seat time off road. My alignment is spot on with the help of light racing uca's. my numbers are toe 0, camber 0, and caster at 2.4.
My lift numbers are: front 39" and rear 38". I have dakars in the rear, which I've had for over a year. I am also running 32x11.50x15 bfg atko tires.
Time will tell how much my springs will settle but if they stay close to this height I may look into bumping up to a 33x10.50 tire and possibly a re-gear. So far I am loving the all OME set up and highly recommend it.

Good to know, I am running the 880's right now but was thinking of switching to the 881's for a little more lift but was wondering what the ride difference would be.

I am getting my Nitro Sports with 883 put on tomorrow / Wednesday this week. I will report back how they ride soon. I got the full OME kit from Wheelers as I needed to replace the struts / coils and the entire leaf pack.

You found the 881 OME & nitrocharger shocks firmer than the bilstein 5100 w/ stock springs at 2.5" of lift? I would have thought the 881 OME & nitrocharger shocks would have been smoother.

You have to remember those stock coils had about 120,000 miles on them. Don't get me wrong they seem to be firmer but I only have 100 miles on them. Like I said its a great setup. Love my OME.
