2014 with 62,000. In addition to the frame inspection i notice a fresh film of oil no dripping under the manual tranny a few inches toward the rear where it bolts up to the engine. No service work has been done in a long time due to sitting around not used. I am not so concerned with whats exactly leaking more concerned there is a leak at all. I walked.

for giggles i looked at my rav 4 with 250,000 miles zero road grime zero signs of any leak ever.

does your 10 year old tacoma look as clean as my rav 4 as far as zero signs of there ever being any oil leak anywhere?

Mine has received annual fluid film or wool wax since 2014. I would say no.

I bought a 2014 Taco 4.0L AC / 6 speed MT used, at 62K miles as it happens, and there were no leaks, drips, or oil films anywhere. It's abnormal, but may or may not be serious. Possibly the engine rear main seal is leaking.

In my view what is more important on a used purchase is documented service history (oil changes at 5K mile intervals, at minimum, especially.)
