Amy, from what you describe as needs an upgrade to the 5100's will pretty much give you what you want for well under $500.

Some of these guys are forgetting about $$$ budget restraints

If that stock ride and feel is so important to you then the best and easiest lift for you is a spindle lift. Assuming you are 2 wheel drive. But it will be a little higher than what you are looking for... 4". Check out the MaxTrac Spindles at Headstrongoffroad.com
The rear you could put 5100 RCD billes with AAL's or blocks.

Actually, as our trucks age, our springs are known to sag quite a bit. (Lots of threads on this). If you are after a stock ride I would strongly recommend you stay away from blocks. Their torsional leverage speeds up the spring wear and will create wheel hop eventually. AAL upgrades, or lifted springs as budget allows is a much better route for us.

I've got a jeep and it's not the lift itself that messes everything up and leads to death wobble. It's the extra strain that the lift puts on the rest of the drivetrain. Just causes parts to go bad a lot faster and when it's already an old jeep that could use new parts like ball joints, ujoints, bushings, etc. it makes things a lot more noticeable.
But like stated above, the bilstein's 884 or 885 coils, and a new full leaf pack is going to be a solid lift for what you are looking to do.

haha thank you. I have been heavily advised to stay away from blocks.

Ahhh! I understand, that makes sense. I think I'm definitely going to go with a bilstein kit.
