Hope this is the right place to share this... Kinda proud of my first project for the new truck. Following previous templates I made a dog bed/platform for my doggo so he can get in on the action! I used indoor/outdoor carpet on both sides and put hinges on the legs for easy storage/getting it in & out. I'm going to add little bits of Velcro to the legs/back to keep the legs from swinging while carrying it, and also gonna add a handle for easier carrying. Fun afternoon project and now my copilot is locked and loaded!

I'm curious of why you didn't level it with little blocks at the back of the seat

It's actually not as off as it looks in the photo, but it's a combination of 1) Home Depot doesn't cut exact measurements (I don't have my own saw) and 2) I was hoping it would maybe help with his stability back there and "lean" him towards the seats rather than forwards because he's kind of ungraceful...his nickname is "moose"

Where do you think I got such a great idea?! "Dog in back of Tacoma access cab" was one of the first things I looked into before buying, and it's also how I found TW. If my copilot ain't comfy and happy, it won't work. But he seems to approve! I need to find a cargo net or something to hook between the front seats though, because he's allll about getting into the front or at least putting his front paws on my center console. Cute for taking pics, not so cute when driving.

Nice. I have a double cab. All I had to do was fold down the rear seat and put a blanket back there :) Doggie heaven!

what are the exact dimensions on your platform? I saw in the other thread the guy actually removed his rear seats...I'm wanting to keep mine in, so basically exactly what you did. did you use the same dims he did at 51x26x7.5? or did you have to modify slightly having the back seats still there?

I'll measure for you when I get home. I don't remember which measurements I used as a starting point vs what I ended up with. No modifying was necessary though. I made the legs a bit longer so the platform could fit on top of the seats and also "lean" the platform back a little to help my dog with stability. The back of the platform sits on the black plastic bumps where the handles are to flip the seats up.
    Stay tuned for measurements!

Thanks! Also, that's his 'satisfied derpy dog' face. He rides like a king back there and knows it :laughing:

@cjc208 Sorry, I suck at life. Totally forgot about my own birthday party Friday night and then spent the weekend in the desert and this completely slipped my mind. Anyywaayys. The platform is 48" long, 19" wide, and 13" tall. The carpet is just outdoor area rug stuff and it's thin so I don't think it adds anything to the dimensions. If I made it again, I would probably make the legs 11" or 12" long instead of 13". Let me know if you have any questions!
