I took it off. Open up the hood and just pop it off. Be careful with the little clips but it pops out easy! Paint it and pop it back on ;)

Pop your hood, look behind the emblem. 4 clips hold it in the grill. The two main ones are at 3 and 9 o'clock, but two others at 12 and 6. Squeeze the 3 and 9 o'clock clips together while pushing out, if you get stuck push on 12 and 6 o'clock clips. Should come right out super easy to dip.

Just the straight up matte black Plastidip brand rattle can. Got it in Home Depot for $6. The front emblem is actually sprayed with Krylon matte black rattle can.

Rustoleum have come out with a rubberized spray (essentially a Plastidip). Haven't tried it but I presume it works the same. They usually have a pretty good quality product.

You guys are lucky to live where you carry exercise your 2A. Md has made it tough for its citizens to legally own a handgun and you can forget about cc. One day I'm going to jump thru the hoops so I can own a handgun just to miss off the gov. Nice piece and a cool mod...

Hey man Im right here with you, in the commie state of New Jersey it's almost impossible to get a cc or even open carry. Plus you need a pistol permit to even purchase a handgun.

Well I'm in MA and it sucks too. I have my Class A Licence to Carry which can be tough to get. Depends on the town and police chief etc. luckily my town is pro-2A.

Our CLEO is pro 2A and has the balls to testify against the handgun bill in Annapolis.unfortunately political correctness won over common sense. I have a FFL03 and have a pretty nice collection of MILSURP weps. The Gov hasn't gone that far yet.

I highly recommend plastidip glossifier. The new glossifier has fade buster and it looks better. i first did my front emblem and chrome grill trim with just plasti dip. I recently respayed them and finished with the glossifier. Looks so much better. Images are without the glossifier. When I get daylight, I'll post new pics

Any idea how well the Plasticdip hold up to car wash brushes?

Mine held up. I've ran my truck through at least twice through a soft scrub car wash

Good to know. I've been debating whether to black out the emblems or just remove them altogether. Kinda like the clean look too.

Going to have to look at that magnetic holster for my Glock 26 .. Right now I have the mini cargo net in that same spot and a Kydex holster holding it in.

You don't. You just pick at the plastidip in there with a toothpick or something and peel it out.
